Closest game of the year?
So, which game will be the closest? Texas, Iowa, or Illinois? Illinois was the answer, but it was hard to see coming. But its time for some perspective….
In the ‘02 season, had the Bucks played a game in which they were up 2 TDs with 3 minutes left, and the other team didn’t get their onside kick. We’d would have said “Phew, finally a breather in the middle of all these close games”
Instead, with our buckeyes more resembling superheroes. The mere thought that a team could have a drive to tie us if they made the onside kick was a huge scare.
Now, I know Buckeye Nation. This week will be filled with worried buckeye fans ripping everything from the play calling to Beanie Wells’ fumble but, relax. 10-0, one more trap game with Northwestern, and have no concern, they’ll be ready for the team up North.
Of course, you would have lost if you bet on my prediction of a Buckeye blowout. Curt is 6-3 vs the spread this year.
