Are you part of the 30%?
This stuff kills me. Here’s an http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,287758,00.html
AP article about alcohol abuse, saying 30% of adults abuse alcohol. But then here’s their definition:
“Alcohol abuse was defined as drinking-related failure to fulfill major obligations at work, school or home; social or legal problems; and drinking in hazardous situations. Alcoholism was characterized by compulsive drinking; preoccupation with drinking; and tolerance to alcohol or withdrawal symptoms.”
Does a boat count as hazardous conditions? If not, how about “tolerance to alcohol.” D’oh! I believe that just implicated the entire IgDome.
So, I guess we should seek treatment? I officially resolve to no liquor during the next boat trip! Only beer…. and wine o’clock. Unless someone’s specialty drink has liquor, then I’d be rude not to drink that.
