Woohoo, Yawn, Uh oh, Phew…
The Buckeyes took care of business against Mich State this weekend. If you didn’t see the game, Michigan State offense was embarrassed. And with the exception of 2 plays, Ohio State completely dominated this game. But, I know what you’re saying…
Whiney John voice: “The score makes Ohio State look like they struggled which will hurt us nationally.” Once again, John may sound smart but he’s not. The close score helps Ohio State. It gives some validation to MSU’s now 5-3 record. It also shows OSU played a tight game and won. As far as the effect on the team, this was the first time they’ve been at the end of the game and only up one score. The pressure was on to run out the clock, which they did quite impressively.
This week’s pretender: South Florida. How many chances did they have in the 4th quarter? And to spike the ball after a sack setting up 3rd and 23? Not smart. (BC is very likely next)
In other games…
LSU wins… barely. Florida ends Kentucky’s title run. And Notre Dame is now 1-7. (I’m still mad at UCLA, losers!) On the Ohio front, UC is struggling, just before basketball season, which can’t be good for the football stands.
Ohio State did not cover dropping Curt to (3-3) on the season vs the spread. This week instead of showing losers, how about some picturesque Buckeyes…
