Bucks have great season, but lose in end…. again.

For the third straight National Title game (FB, BB, FB) the bucks can’t get it done.  Some bad calls, dumb plays, unfortunate bounces, and coaching that was slow to react all contributed.

We are halfway to being the Buffalo Bills, (4 losses in the SuperBowl in a row).  And with next year’s schedule - USC early, Michigan, Penn St at home - we could be there again.

At this point, of course, the country thinks were are an overrated program, but remember their memories are so fickle that a win over USC in September could go a long way to changing that.

Isn’t it strange that the most penalized team in the SEC only was called for two penalties in the entire game? Four of the five personal foul calls were BS. And how did LSU get to keep the ball on the fumbled punt when we came away with it from the pile. Clearly, I don’t think the officals kept the Bucks from winning, but it was a poorly officiated game. Also, I think Fox did a terrible job of covering the game.

Blah, blah, blame the officials.

For the second year in a row, the true blame for the loss goes to Tressel. Tressel’s a great coach and I’m in no way calling for a change, but he keeps going away from what’s working or should work in the title game.

This year the running game is what got us 10 points right away. Then after those two drives, we stopped running the ball first. On first downs we were throwing long. Good once in a while, bad all the time. If you don’t get a completion, you set the defense up to stop you. Wells was running strong on the first few drives, and we stopped working him and gave up control of the game.

Same last year. Right out of the gate, first play from scrimmage, long pass. Horrible decision, should have ran straight up the middle. Everybody thought Florida was so fast, so you take away their speed by beating them up. Nope, threw the ball first, played into their team strength.

Also a big fan of Tress, but I gotta agree with you. Where did the team go in the 2nd qtr? That game went south quick.
