Valentine’s Day
I am so happy its Valentine’s Day. Finally all those awful commercials will end! Is anyone else sick of these? Pajamagram, Vermont Teddy Bear, Jewelry, Cars, Flowers, aaggghhh, stop!
My least favorite is a jeweler (JBR) that is so condescending it forces me to yell at the radio like the lunatic I claim not to be. The commercial has a women telling their husband:
“Honey, you’re great at things like killing spiders. If I need a spider killed you’re my man! But all of us aren’t good at everything, like buying Jewelry, so go to JBR and they’ll help you.”
Translated: “Husband, I hate you. The only thing you do to satisfy me is killing spiders because I am weak and can’t kill them myself. When it comes to buying gifts, you are an idiot and if you buy me jewelry, you’ll clearly mess it up, again. So go to JBR because they will screw you bigtime into believing the only way to make a woman happy is a very expensive overpriced piece of crap.”
