Closest game of the year?

So, which game will be the closest?  Texas, Iowa, or Illinois?  Illinois was the answer, but it was hard to see coming.  But its time for some perspective….
In the ‘02 season, had the Bucks played a game in which they were up 2 TDs with 3 minutes left, and the other team didn’t get their […]

2 more games before THE GAME

Illinois stinks.

Curt (6-2) picks the Buckeyes (-27 pts) to cover the spread.

Jack dots the I

Buckeyes roll.  Crushing Minnesota 44-0.  But the biggest story of the day was a tribute to the Golden Bear.  One of the greatest buckeyes of all-time Jack Nicklaus dotted the I as only the 5th non-band member to do so.

On to the pick, I said 42-3. Actual score 44-0.  Not bad.  As for the spread, […]

Next up… Minnesota.

I’ll skip the formalities.  They suck.  Bucks win big.

                42                      -                       3
Ohio State is favored by 27 points.  I say give the points.
Curt (5-2 vs spread) takes OSU - 27.

Indiana even worse than I thought….

Ok, so I thought Indiana would score 14 points.  What was I smoking?  The new defense has only allowed one team that many (Iowa, 17).  And the Bucks own Indiana.  So, another blowout… by more than 31.5, so Curt’s record vs the spread goes to 5-2.

Countdown to M*ch*gan

4 weeks from the big game, a few other patsies must be dispatched.  This week, the patsy is Indiana.  Sure, they’ve won 2 in a row, which is pretty good for them, but they’re overmatched at every position.  Even our waterboys are better than their waterboys.  Even in Indiana’s four wins, they fell behind by […]

Newsflash: MSU is awful. (ND too)

Usually at this time, after another Buckeye drubbing of a hapless wannabe, I show pictures of their surprised and disappointed fans.  But this week, since all the MSU fans left at halftime before ABC pulls out the crowd cam, I thought I’d check out the Big Ten blog… Here is what MSU contributor Dave Dye said (before the game).
Dave […]

Michigan State post-collapse

Usually when Michigan St plays Ohio State, we get the pleasure of exposing them as the fraud they are.  Typically by now, they’ve beaten an overrated Notre Dame team as well as a weak nonconference schedule and enter the game 5-0 and ranked in the low teens.
BUT, not this year, giving away the game to Notre Dame […]

Buckeyes can afford to look past this one….

Ok, let’s say a friend of the team dies, and all of the starters have to go to funeral.  Only backups and walk-ons play the game, who wins?  Da Bucks.
The third string offense is juiced about this one.  They’ll probably play most of the 4th quarter.

                 45                    -                     14
The line on this game is 35 […]
